Fibroid surgery, with fertility as a priority, done at Mayo Clinic, Rochester ? Please share your experience!
I have a 6 cm submucosal fibroid, a 9 cm intramural fibroid, and several smaller fibroids. After a year of trying, I finally became pregnant but unfortunately experienced a non-viable pregnancy/PUL. The bleeding, anemia, and symptoms have become too much, and I’ve decided to move forward with surgery.
I’m scheduled for fibroid surgery at Mayo Clinic Rochester and would love to hear from anyone who had their fibroids removed there, especially if fertility preservation was a top priority. While I know Mayo has an excellent reputation, I am someone who is very cautious when it comes to hospitals and surgeons, and I am understandably nervous about undergoing surgery.
How was your experience? Were you able to conceive afterward? What are things you wish you knew or did before surgery? How to optimize my consultation with the surgeon prior to surgery? Please share anything you can.
With love and thanks ❤️
