How screwed am I looking for a remote senior accountant role without having a CPA?

Career

I’ve worked for a small nonprofit for the last 8 years and worked my way up from Accountant, to Senior Accountant, to Controller. I’ve been feeling rather down at my job lately and I feel like it’s time to switch things up. However, I do not want to give up being remote. I feel like I have zero chance getting a job elsewhere because I don’t have my CPA. Can anyone please share some insights? I have nearly 12 years of accounting experience. I worked as a bookkeeper while in college and then assisted with tax prep and audits at a public accounting firm for 2 years before switching to my current place of work.
