Should I ?

Career Advice/Clarification

I’m trying to seriously figure out whether CA is actually for me before I fully commit to it.

For context, I’m more interested in finance, business, law, strategy, and understanding how businesses work. I’m not naturally attracted to subjects like auditing or pure accounting, so that part worries me a bit.

I wanted to ask people who are already doing CA or have completed it:

* How did you know you were “built” for CA?

* Are there any signs that someone can realistically survive and clear this course?

* What qualities matter more: intelligence, discipline, consistency, memory, interest, etc.?

* Is it normal to doubt yourself before starting?

* Did any of you start out weak in accounts/math but still manage?

* How can I test myself before committing years to this path?

* If someone likes finance/business more than accounting, can CA still be a good fit?

I don’t want motivation only — I want honest experiences, including the bad parts, failure stories, burnout, and what made you continue.

Would genuinely appreciate advice from people who’ve actually gone through this.
