Finished Dark Lord: Rise of Darth Vader not too long ago, I just want to say the Battle of Kashyyk is so awesome!

The book was alright but the final act really stands out for me. How tensions between imperials and wookiees escalate on the space port, empire immediately trying to enslave the Wookiees once the battle starts, the Wookiees using leftover war machines from Clone Wars battles to shock of the empire, Etc

Like the part where I believe it was Tarfful or Chewbacca talks about how the Wookiees are adapt at living In deepest parts of forests and would never surrender to Empire face me chills.

Then you get the best part, Vader vs Roan. Both characters finding their connection to the force again and their resolve as they fight. Then Vader’s orders the Star destroyers above to just light the entire wookiee city & trees on fire with turbo lasers made their duel feel even more cinematic

Also really like how Roan gets upper hand on Vader by targeting his legs & arms but Vader wins by turning off his lightsaber and using the force to just throw Everything at him all at once. Finally Vader respects Roan enough to reveal his identity to him and Roan getting a vision of Vader’s end at Endor. It’s all so good
