I am not sure how well this post is gonna be received, but maybe this might help sb out, so I am posting it 🤗.

1. The first step to avoid having BO (Bodyodor) is to look after your health, bcs if your body is overloaded with toxins then it will expell those over your sweat and skin (ever noticed how your sweat smells differently when you are extremely ill?). The other thing that makes humans smell is when you have a Mg-deficiency or eat spicy food like excessive fenugreek and cumin ect. Opposite is also true, drinking rose, anis, and hibiscus tea will over time give you a slightly flowery blossom body scent.

2. The second thing is to have a solid Hammam routine. If you are still using shower gel and not pure soap, then you are missing out, big time. Shower gel does not wash away your dead skin cells the way soap does (ever noticed this sqeaky feeling after using a curd soap?). Just make sure it's soap in its purest form, so like an aleppo-olive-soap bar or a curd soap. Also exfoliate your body at least twice a month, best would be every week. Imo nothing beats a moroccan hammam routine every thursday evening.

3. Avoid any polyester fabric and go for natural fibres like cotton, linen and if there is no way around it, then certain types of viscose. Especially your underwear and clothes that directly touch your skin. If you also hate cotton bras, then my crazy tip is to wear a cotton chemise under your bra, just like women used to, under their corsets.

4. I think the best hack to stay fresh in summer is to wear clothes that allow for wind circulation.

Wide garments where the wind can circulate through and also fabrics that are woven less tightly so that the air can blow through the fabric. Also Hijaabs that are not tied twice around your head, for example a Khimaar, bcs then the air can blow in from below and cool your neck.

5. Handle your clothes the right way. When you remove your sweaty clothes, don't just throw them in the laundry hamper. Instead hang them up and let them dry completely. As for your outer garments, also air them out overnight before hanging it back in your closet. And as for underwear, make it a habit, as soon as you come home, take it off and wash it with soap. Don't just throw it into the laundry hamper. If you want to have truly fresh clothes, then that is the best method bcs a normal washing cycle in the machine won't get your underwear as clean as washing it by hand first before throwing it in the washing machine. If old clothes accumulate a smell then you might want to do some laundry stripping.

6. Here is my golden hack for those really hot and long summerdays. In the morning I take a shower and then before putting on my clothes I spray my entire body with this:

I mix rose water in a spray bottle and add my favourite essential oils to it. Fresh fragrances like lemongrass, rose geranium and a drop of patchoulli for that deep and musty fragrance. Over that I use my homemade deodorant https://www.reddit.com/r/CrunchyMuslimFolks/s/tOmqr5y4J2 on \*all\* places where sweat tends to accumulate. Don't worry, if you use the right essential oils then it won't smell like parfume and others won't be able to smell the fragrance, you can't even smell it yourself, only once you take off your clothes can you actually smell the fragrance. Make sure to check for allergies and skin irritation first (!)
