lack of literacy

i was complaining about the lack of problem solving skills today, and i as an EXAMPLE i used perfume. i saw a post demanding people stop wearing perfume at all, and i thought that was a bit entitled. i understand people who bathe head to toe in perfume are absolutely the scum of the earth, but to demand everyone stop wearing perfume at ALL? because you get headaches sometimes? so i used the example of if someones perfume is too strong, you can either walk away or politely tell them its too strong. i also went on about the us government and abortions, but i guess the perfume topic REALLY twisted peoples panties because ALL of the comments are equivalent to: “oh so you bathe yourself in perfume and expect ppl to just be okay with it?” or “if you need that much perfume you stink! dont wear so much” what really bothered my is i barely wear any and everyones acting like they personally know me, and that i shower in it. neither are true. i live with three asthmatics, i know how to be a decent human being with it. how are we not literate enough to understand what an example is? my post literally wasnt about the perfume and now i seem like im just weirdly obsessed with perfume from defending myself in the comments 😭
