Is a rough shape Wasr 2 in 5.45 worth $880

So i was at my local gun store today at they got a used Wasr 2 in stock. Its chambered in 5.45 but the gun itself is in rough shape. They wouldn't let me get pics so unfortunately I'll just have to describe it. It has no muzzle just a naked barrel, the furniture is in really rough shape, doesnt come with any magazines, and has allot of rust on the receiver. They are asking $879.99 because "its a real ak". Would it be worth buying and having a gunsmith restore it at their asking price or are they asking way to much?
