Signing up my wife for flex in a couple weeks but travel one week later

My wife just needs flex and I’m signing her up in a couple weeks . However we are traveling a week later. I looked at it and there is no intl in flex so we’d need to purchase intl for $30. Would it make more sense to sign her up one month Premium (to cover the trip) then for renewal and when we are back change it to flex ?
