Combat and my experience (maybe advice)

I’m still pretty early in the game, Currently only in Aleph, however I wanted to share my experience in case it helps others, or maybe to gain even more knowledge myself.

I’m playing on the hardest difficulty, and I’ve really enjoyed the hand to hand combat, while kind of dreading the large gunfight sections. In my head the gunfight breaks out, I look for cover I aim up some shots, they throw a grenade, I run to other cover, shoot some environment stuff, find more cover, etc.

Then after dying a few times on the same section I took a break and came back for a different mindset, I’d say a more action based mindset. Just keep moving and use all your tools, also hand-to-hand is still viable and fun even I. These big shootouts. Use all the environmental edge you can, use your gadgets, and attack. Keep moving forward charge at a bad guy, steal his gun Fire away and throw it at the next guy.

I was stuck trying to get good shots on the enemies and hiding behind walls, and it just doesn’t seem like they intended for that. And I enjoy it all the more for that reason. Just move forward and use your whole arsenal and the world around you as best you can.

What’s the last thing a guy with a rifle in full tactical gear would expect? That’s right, run right at home and punch the gun right out of his hand and use it to shoot his friends.
