I thought I was loosing my dad
Cancer runs in my family.
My dad’s first scare was thyroid cancer a decade ago but he was lucky enough that it was caught early and he had a 95% rate of being cancer free. Well he did everything he was supposed to and he was cancer free thankfully. Most recently he did have skin cancer which got removed back in April but also happening around the same time my dad started having some symptoms which he hasn’t disclosed to us as he finds them to TMI which is fine but he did tell us his prostate levels were elevated indicating inflammation. He changed his diet and waited 6 weeks to retest. Results came back that levels went down but he still had inflammation and he had lumps so he had a biopsy scheduled. Biopsy was May 15th results came back May 26th NO CANCER detected. He was told happy birthday this is your gift (his birthday is may 31st) Only problem is there’s still inflammation and hard tissue so he has to be monitored every 6 months and stay on his diet. But we will take that any day over being told once again he has another type of cancer. I spent the months leading up to his biopsy trying not to think about anything because I didn’t want to wonder if I could lose my dad to cancer when we got the news I cried because I could finally feel relief. Cancer sucks and it’s already taken enough from my dad and the rest of our family I’m glad we don’t have to go through it again. I hope all those in this group know they have a support system behind them here and that I wish them or their loved ones get better ❤️🩹
