I found why Catastrophe is so stupid
So obviously, we know that the beta and gamma AOE was expanded, but they completely gutted the Gamma Slam Height, with it literally being possible to jump over, not an exaggeration. And obviously catastrophe can now be shitted on almost anyone that can jump over it. And with the gamma's tracking now, it isn't that viable. So now people that can jump around you like Froppy and Mirko and Iida, or anyone that can kind of make loops around you like a nejire (even if they are just hovering one foot off the ground) can just easily overwhelm you.
But another thing that made this new rework worse was that the dragging down feature is buggy. BUT IT ISN'T, IT JUST WORKS WEIRDLY, SO I AM EXPLAINING IT HERE FOR EVERYONE TO KNOW:
It does NOT drag down enemies when hitting the DASH of the gamma. he now has a hitbox when FALLING.
So if you use a gamma, hit someone with the dash, and then backup as you are falling, it will not drag them down. You have to stay on top of them, and then hit them whilst you are FALLING.
This is really stupid and an INCREDIBLY annoying way of doing this, Because of course Byking can't just do the most obvious and simple choice because FUCK THEM.
But yeah, there is one good thing to this, if you just Gamma up and then fall down, anyone hit whilst you are falling will get dragged down, even if you didn't hit them with the dash.
(The three parts of a full gamma: The dash, the fall, and the slam. The hitbox that drags enemies down is the fall, not the dash.)
So yeah, if you're finding this New "Dragging enemies down" feature to be annoying or inconsistent, you have to stay on top of enemies, you can not hit the dash and then backup, you have to physically stay on them while you fall.
