Hot take or not?

Watching the games and score differences this season has got me really questioning whether the AFL has room to expand further or not.

As great as it is to introduce Tasmania into the comp with their own teams. Teams like Richmond and Essendon are barely showing up to games.

Spreading out the talent of the game to so many teams can only lead to more games of bigger point differentials and other problems.

Not to mention the coaches to be able to lead these teams and with how quickly some of these coaches are turned over when there's a sniff of a bad season ahead.

Sure there are games where the lower standing team surprises the better team (lions vs GWS last week and Calton v Geelong yesterday). But do people prefer a constant one sided game or would more closer games where it comes down to the forth quarter be preferred?

Less teams could also mean a season of actual round robin where every team plays each other twice and there is a definitive home and away season.
