Question about boat and bus travel to Senja

Hi, I have a quite specific question about getting to the island of Senja.

We are arriving in Tromso soon by train and were not planning on renting a car. So I was looking at our options for hiking and I really want to explore Senja, since it seems like a fascinating place and hopefully a place to escape the crowds.

There is a fast boat running from Tromso, where we are staying, and Lysnes Kai on Senja twice per day. We want to take the morning one and would arrive at 8 on the island. Now this is where it gets tricky. Looking at the timetable for the buses on Senja it seems like it is really meant for schoolchildren with buses only really running in the morning and the afternoon. The last "morning" bus leaves from Lysnes Kai at exactly 8 and the next one only comes at 11:22 (bus number 380 towards Husoy). So I was wondering if anyone had experience connecting these two modes of transportation; would the bus wait for the people disembarking from the boat or should we plan something else?

TLDR: Has anyone had any experience connecting the express boat Tromso-Lysnes (which arrives at the port at 8 in the morning) with the 380 bus on Senja ( which departs from the same station at 8) during weekdays?
