I wonder about first year connections

I tried to put myself out the first year of uni, but I am kinda socially awkward and a bad speaker. Like I mostly hung around my O-week group that I met in the first week.

All of them wonderful people! They were so nice, funny, and honesty will treasure my first year experience!! <3

But now it summer break, end of first year and idk I look back to see if it was… fake? There were moments that I thought about it during first year, but looking at phone with 0 notifications.

I do get a snap, and (sometimes) reel sent to me, but there are no conversations, like no “hello” “what’s up?”.

Maybe they were being nice and respectful to me out of maturity? We didn’t exactly have a deep conversation so maybe that’s a part?

Maybe it’s a friendship that is only connected to school, so we might say “hi” the hallway, have small conversations, but then drift away?
