Welcome to Season 8 🏝️

LI USA Season 8 is here! Similar to last season, we will be doing synced viewings for us to maintain the live discussion experience! The time that Peacock releases the episodes are not the same time each day so this is essential.

We would also like to introduce the new episode hub: Season 8 EPISODE HUB 🍿. This is the official guide to find the live or post episode discussions before the episode airs each night, during its airing, or at any point during the season. We recommend bookmarking!

The plan

There will be FOUR official live viewing threads. We will have one 8:30 PM EST, a 8:45 PM EST, and two official 9 PM EST live viewing threads. The 8:30 pm is our spoiler thread for those who would like to start early or don't mind being exposed to episode spoilers. We then have 3 non-spoiler threads. The 8:45 PM is our non-spoiler thread for users who don't want to want to wait until 9 PM and had complaints that there were members spoiling the 9 PM watch time. For the 9 PM watch time, we have two different threads for With Ads and Without Ads live viewing! You must begin watching at 9 PM.

Thread 1 - 8:30 PM SPOILER THREAD

• There is no synced live viewing restriction/rules in this thread
• Members can comment freely and take the risk that they may be spoiled
• Users may choose to begin watching whenever the episode drops

Thread 2 - 8:45 PM NONSPOILER THREAD

• Subject to all the rules from this announcement post: New Spoiler Free Watch Time
• You must wait until 8:45 pm to begin watching. Please use the 8:45 PM official counter to begin and to resync
• A stricter spoiler-free experience that requires opting in by changing your user flair to '8:45 PM watcher'
  • Sorry, new subredditors / redditors aren't allowed due to this user flair requirement
• Please report spoilers. There is a one-strike-policy for any spoilers

Thread 3 - 9 PM NONSPOILER THREAD (WITH ADS)

• Subject to all the rules from this prior announcement post.
• Peacock premium users ARE NOT allowed here and must use the 8:30 PM Spoiler, 8:45 PM Nonspoiler, or 9 PM Without Ads Nonspoiler thread.
• A reminder that you must not skip the intro and recap.
• Please report spoilers.
• Even if the show is put up before 9 PM, you must wait until 9 PM to begin watching. Please keep in mind that the live viewing thread will be posted 10 minutes before the time to help members prepare.
• To help members sync watching at the same time across timezones, we have an official countdown timer. Use this for 9 PM.
