Built this for my own trading over the past month. Opening it up for others to use and get feedback on.
The problem
Every day a handful of penny/low-float stocks move 100-500%. They’re never random. There’s always a setup building in the 1-2 weeks before. I wanted to systematically detect that setup before it fires — not after everyone else already sees it.
How it works
Pulled 5 years of daily data for all US stocks under $10 with float under 30M shares. Found 800+ historical explosion events (100%+ moves in 5 days). Extracted the 14-day signal sequence before each explosion. Trained an XGBoost model to recognize that pattern in live tickers every morning.
The pre-ignition sequence the model learned:
• Volume creeping up vs 30-day average — not spiking yet, just building
• “High volume, low move” days — big volume, price barely moves (accumulation signal)
• Higher lows forming — base building
• Range compressing — coil tightening
• Volume accelerating into the final days
Two-layer output:
Score (0-100): How closely this stock’s 14-day pattern matches historical explosions
Grade (A-D): Real-time quality check — volume actually building now? Base confirmed? Momentum bullish?
High score + Grade A/B = strongest setups. A stock can score high but grade low if the historical pattern matches but current signals aren’t confirming yet.
Check the Replay tab — shows what the tool would have flagged 14 days before past explosions like ELPW (+1,597%) and SKK (+617%). The volume buildup pattern is unmistakable in hindsight.

⚠️ Not financial advice. This is a research tool — do your own due diligence before making any trading decisions. Low-float penny stocks are extremely high risk.
Curious what signals others think are missing. Happy to go deep on methodology in the comments.
