[Post Game Thread] 🥎 #2 Texas staves off elimination and defeats #7 Tennessee 5-2, 4-0 to advance to the 2026 Women's College World Series Finals

Game 1 was marked by timely hitting for the ladies in the better shade of orange and dominant pitching from Citlaly Gutierrez despite a horrific game for the Longhorns defense.

Game 2 was another OKC pitching masterclass from Teagan Kavan with a side of deadly baserunning by the Horns as they best the Vols' ace Karlyn Pickens.

Texas has won five games while facing elimination in the tournament. They face either Alabama or Texas Tech for the championship series beginning Thursday, 6/3.

Alabama and Texas Tech play tonight at 6 PM CT. If Texas Tech wins, they'll play again about 30 minutes later to decide it (roughly 8:30 CT).
