Griddley — a new Hookup/Dating system built around discovery, not swiping
We’re building Griddley, a hookup/dating platform designed around structured discovery instead of traditional swipe feeds.
Most apps fail because they treat everyone the same way: a flat list of profiles with no context, no intent filtering, and no real signal control.
Griddley changes that.
Core structure:
- Grid-based discovery instead of infinite swipe feeds
- Multi-layer filtering based on intent, proximity, and availability signals
- User-controlled visibility (you decide how you show up in the system)
- Faster routing into actual conversations instead of passive browsing
On top of that, Griddley includes a subsystem called The DL.
The DL (Deep Layer) is a Whisper-style anonymous layer built for:
- Anonymous posting and expression
- Burner-style chat sessions that don’t expose identity upfront
- Temporary interaction channels that expire or reset based on user control
- Low-pressure exploration before identity reveal
It’s designed for people who want interaction without immediate exposure.
We’re currently moving into closed beta before public release.
