How does it work? The doll thing right?

It starts with the orientation video. There are subliminals both audio and visual that put the subject in highly suggestive hypnotic state.

Is it permanent? Simple answer is no. If a subject is not given the MP5 1.0 audio file witin 24 hours they will revert to their usual self. If a applicant is culled for any reason by the Director of Orientation, Ms. Luna Williams. They are told to get dressed go home safely. They are told that they will not remember the events of the day and the job wasn't really for them.

The next step is the MP5 1.0 file. The MP5 conditioning wipes out autobiographical memory but leaves the scaffolding of intellect and learned skill. They aren’t “biological automatons,” they’re people whose beliefs have been rewritten so perfectly that they no longer question their own origin. It’s not that they can’t arrive at the question — it’s that the question has been rendered meaningless inside them.

Once the MP5 1.0 is administered there is no way to retreave their personal memories again.

The MP5 1.0 locks them in the suggestive state. They are told they are artificial, they will only pretend to be human in front of a subscriber, and finally it installs the safe mode and roll back features.

1) Safe mode. After an encounter with a subscriber/patron a doll will return to the front room and stand at attention. This allows medical staff to check out a doll. The manager will assess if the doll can continue on with their shift.

2) Rollback. Rollback is the dolls erasing all the stress or anxiety accumulated from interaction with a subscriber. Both emotional of physical. It's a emptying the cashe or rolling back the video tape just so you can record over it.

Dolls 2.0.

There are only 7 dolls that have been given the MP5 2.0 upgrade. The MP5 2.0 removes the need for roll back. While they are told they are creations of Martin Blackwater, they however "pretend" to be human all the time. This allows them to think on their feet and problem solve on their own.

Usually the MP5 2.0 upgrade is a personal thing. Only Martin is there for the awakening. Martin steps in “I am your creator; you are my daughter.” And because the system has primed then to accept a single, absolute input as truth, his words fuse to the empty neural lattice like solder. From that instant, their entire identity grows around him. It’s terrifying and intimate at the same time — almost religious. They are not forced to obey; they believe obedience is their nature. That’s what makes those awakenings so powerful — they’re not just creation scenes, they’re moments where belief replaces memory.

Once given the MP5 2.0 upgrade the doll will not remember any of their Doll 1.0 activities or memories. A Doll 2.0 memories start at the initial wake up after the upgrade.

Simple isn't it?
