Bandits!
Seeking advice from experienced gardeners.
There’s a raccoon condo two doors down, in a clump of very tall and healthy cedars.
Our yard is an absolute wreck, so while waiting for building permit on the house we have started digging through decades of debris c. Classic 20th century junk heap.
To cheer ourselves up and get started on improving the property we installed 3 raised beds and planted raspberries, strawberries, and tomatoes, along with greens and herbs.
The strawberries have started ripening and each one has been plucked well before peak, by the local gang of high rise bandits.
We were SO looking forward to just a little bounty in the bleak before-build time - seeking suggestions to foil those rascals. Has anyone had success in keeping them out?
