The show's made Aegon's claim a joke and it's stupid

Aegon is the first born son of the King. Thousands of years of custom and tradition dictates that HE is the next in line for his father's throne. Targaryen rule while young also had the same precedent. Hell even pre-Conquest Targaryens; Aegon(the Conqueror) became Lord of Dragonstone even though Visenya was the older of the two.

But the show tries to make Aegon's claim "Viserys mumbled his name in a dream" - like, why??? I get that the show wants us to see Rhaenyra as the good guy and Aegon as the bad guy but ....it just boggles the mind.

"This is not my story any longer" indeed.
