10 months almost 11 month tantrums
My 10 month old, almost 11 months has started throwing full blown tantrums. I’m all about cry it out for a minute and let’s see if you can process these large emotions of injustice over me taking the power cord you’ve run for out of your hands. It wasn’t so bad until recently, crying over toys or dangerous items? Sure okay go off kid that doesn’t change the fact that this is what we gotta do. But now it’s at nap time and feeding time. It’s every single second. Yelling, screaming, wailing, sometimes she even laughs at herself then throws her little fists down like “oh oops I’m suppose to be mad” and of course I know she’s not purposely doing it she’s just overwhelmed with whatever it is going on inside that little baby brain. Naps and feeding especially how do I help her process and correct the behavior? I started with how I would a toddler “I can’t do or give this until you calm down” like I do with her toys but she’s obviously too little to get that just yet and just standing there holding her bottle as she sobs is really hard because I’d be mad too if I was hungry and the food lady was taking “too long” (literally two minutes) to get the bottle ready or the solids warmed.
