Has anyone applied for workers comp for psychological injury after signing a financial settlement with their employer?

Has anyone applied for workers comp for a psychological injury after leaving a workplace and signing a financial settlement / deed of release?

I’m in WA and left a role earlier this year after a stressful workplace process. I received a settlement, but I’m still dealing with the psychological impact and am considering a workers comp claim.

I’m not looking for legal advice, just interested in other people’s experiences:

- Did the settlement make the claim harder?
- Did the insurer/employer try to argue it was already resolved?
- What evidence did you need?
- Was the process worth it emotionally?
