Would the wall strategy work?

Basically the strategy is to run a bunch of tough mele units up in transports to get in front of the objectives and form a wall, to move block and potentially weaken enemy scorers as much as possible and let the cadians score, if going second, use the mele units in transports to harras suicide into enemy units.
