Do Omegas Have Periods in Omegaverse, or Does Heat Replace Them?

I've always wondered about Omega biology in BL Omegaverse stories. We know there are primary genders and secondary genders (alpha, beta, omega), but one thing that's rarely explained is whether omegas actually experience periods. Most manhwa, manga, novels, and dramas focus heavily on heats, pheromones, bonding, and pregnancy, yet menstruation is almost never mentioned. Is the omega heat cycle supposed to replace a normal menstrual cycle, or do omegas still have periods and authors simply choose not to discuss them? I've seen different interpretations across the genre, so I'm curious if there's any common consensus among readers or if it completely depends on each author's worldbuilding.
