General overview of Neighborhood Watch: A supernatural horror dramedy

Neighborhood Watch is about a group of girls who investigate their suburban neighborhood of strange occurrences, cryptids, monsters and ghosts. Jenna Morales is our heroine who comes to picturesque Crowley Falls to live with her uncle Rodrigo after her parents’ mysterious deaths. She meets two local girls: Sadie Kim, a tech nerd, and Tori Blackwood, a goth and practicing Wiccan, who are part of the Neighborhood Watch, a community group who keep the neighborhood safe from strange and supernatural threats. The Watch is led by Rodrigo, who is a retired monster hunter and the town handy man.

Jenna is thrust into the world of strange creatures and events that happen not just in her neighborhood but all over town. From cursed animated lawn gnomes waging lawn turf wars and cyborg arcade cabinet homunculi to dumpster diving Wendigo and the vampiric HOA, Jenna and her friends will fight the forces of darkness and uncover the mysteries that surround their town while balancing school and protecting the town from the paranormal forces that infest it.

Jenna eventually learns her mother was the founder of the Watch in her teen years and the mysteries of the origins of the town and its paranormal activity may have contributed to her parent’s death. It all focuses on an ancient eldritch entity known only as The God of Mysteries.

This idea is kind of a mix of Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Eerie, Indiana and Gravity Falls.
