Analysis: gnash - "U Only Call Me When it’s Raining Out"

"Tried to work it out but working out just got me sore"

• gnash, U Only Call Me When it’s Raining Out (Released: March 15, 2015)

Genius Annotation:

A play on the verb “work out” and the adjective “sore”.

When you physically work out, you get sore muscles. Gnash tried to work out (a way of saying “trying to solve”) their problems, and it made him sore (an informal term to say that you are angry because you have been treated unfairly).
