I podcast with founders for a living. A 20 year old developer just gave me the most honest conversation I've had in two years.

I've interviewed funded founders, exited founders, founder with PR teams who emailed me four times to set up a call.

Last week I talked to a kid in his second semester of college.

No team. no funding. built something alone between lectures because a problem genuinely annoyed him enough to fix it. Shipped before it was ready. Ignore all conventional startup advice, mostly because he hadn't read any of it yet.

The product crossed a thousand users and ten million words processed. He turned down an acquisition offer most people would have jumped at. He's twenty year old and still has final to study for.

I asked him what he'd do differently.

He said he'd spend less time reading about what he was supposed to do and more time just doing the thing.

That answer is going to live in my head for a while.

Full episode in the comments. Worth 4-5 minutes of your time if you build things.
