Looking for the best modded PS2/PS3 era Madden on PC? (Current gen is unplayable)

Hey guys,

I’m officially completely burnt out on current-gen Madden and I'm looking to go back to the golden era. Does anyone have recommendations for the perfect modded Madden from the PS2 or PS3 days to play on PC?

My favorite Madden of all time is Madden 10 (with Larry Fitzgerald and Troy Polamalu on the cover—that’s the first one I vividly remember playing). I know the community swears by NFL 2K5 and Madden 04, but I was literally 4 years old when those came out, so I don't really remember much of them or have that same nostalgia factor.

Ideally, I’m looking for a version where I can run a deep offline franchise with up-to-date rosters and actually enjoy the gameplay again.

What’s the best setup or mod community out there right now for this? Any suggestions on which specific game/mod I should try out first are welcome!
