Is master death mode really that hard?

Ive beaten calamity expert revengeance a few times like maybe 4 times. Idk if I can handle master death because of the difficulty jump. Is the difficulty jump rlly that huge? I feel like I might just have a high cortisol level. Let me know from ur experience if death mode is rlly that bad. Been overthinking about trying master death mode or not. Let me know also if death mode is hard or not.
