Should I accept food from someone who is not very close to me and is only an acquaintance?

For context I am Indian so giving and receiving food is in our culture.

One of my juniors from school i haven't spoken to in a long time recently texted me and asked me how I was doing. We were simply checking up on each other when she suggested to meet. I am ok with that and I said "sure, let's meet". She then said that she would bring food she had made for me.

Don't get me wrong, it's a very sweet thing for her to do and I was really happy however I guess you can say I am a bit paranoid, but seeing all the news of women getting drugged or poisoned by their long time friends or acquaintances is kinda gnawing at my brain. I am ok with eating someone's good when in a group or we made it together, but if I didn't see it getting prepared and I am the only one eating it, I get kinda worried and anxious.

Will it be rude of me to refuse her? Or am I thinking too much???
