When should you replace trampoline springs?

Trampoline springs don't usually fail all at once. Most of the time, the signs show up gradually.

A few things to look out for:

• visible rust or corrosion

• springs that look stretched or uneven

• a trampoline that feels less responsive than it used to

• a noticeable change in bounce quality or consistency

• springs that have become loose, damaged, or detached

One thing people often notice first is a change in the bounce. If the trampoline starts feeling "flat" or inconsistent, worn springs could be the reason.

If only one or two springs are damaged, replacing those may be enough. But if multiple springs are showing signs of wear, replacing them as a set usually helps maintain a more even and predictable bounce.

Regular inspections go a long way. Springs are one of the hardest-working parts of a trampoline, and keeping them in good condition helps with both performance and safety.
