28 [NA] A “Before Sunrise” moment

⭐ Success story

I’m not sure what flair to use so eto nalang, considering na it was a success naman.

Last weekend, I’m supposed to have dinner with my friends but they cancelled last minute. I’m a little frustrated kasi I already set my night aside for them, so randomly I just checked the usual subreddits ng kasama. I randomly came across sa reddit ko- she’s around my age, looking for someone to spend the night sa isang park. We may or may not kiss daw, depende pa 😅

So I reached out lang, and we met that night. And what happened after will probably stick into my brain for years.

I called this a Before Sunrise moment kasi, like the movie, we ended up talking a lot. A looot. As in *a lot*. About life, love, our frustrations, our interests. I shared to her my dreams, my frustrations sa love, things about me I kept hidden even to my closest friends. She told me about hers rin, her life, I got a glimpse how she sees the world. Basta, there was an instant connection that can never be replicated by anyone else. Parang pinagtagpo kami at *that* exact time, that exact moment kasi we needed each other nun. She was lonely and didn’t want to spend the night alone, I was frustrated and anxious and tbh I wanted to escape from my duties and responsibilities as an adult even for one night lang.

We ended up kissing a couple times, but (idk her pov lang hahaha), for me it’s nothing special. No fireworks unfortunately. But that’s okay, really. I think at that point, I needed someone to ground me sa buhay ko. Not a friend. Not a girlfriend. Just whatever we had that night.

Nung dumilim na sa park, we ended up roaming the streets of the city we met, we had coffee, roamed some more. Talked a lot more.

Until finally, almost 2 or 3am na yata nun, we had to go- we can only be free for so long unfortunately. We decided to keep in touch, but no promises lang to be constants kasi busy parehas ang lives namin. Sabi ko nga sa kanya, “let’s see where life takes us- if magkikita pa tayo ulit, life finds a way; if not, then at least we have this.” Then we parted ways :)

It’s funny lang. People you meet aren’t always meant to stay, but a lot of the people you meet will always have an impact sayo. Our talks really grounded me and kinda changed my outlook sa buhay ko. I’m certain I’ll remember that night fondly.
