I built a free Android app that scans coffee bags to predict if you’ll like them (and helps you find local coffee buddies)

As an avid coffee enthusiast and Android developer, I’ve always found it a bit challenging to track my tasting notes and know if a new bag of specialty coffee will actually suit my palate before spending money on it.

To solve this, I spent the last few months building **Coffinity**—and it is finally live on the Google Play Store!

**Here is what it does:**

1. 📸 **Scan Coffee Bags**: Point your camera at a coffee package to instantly extract its origin, roast level, acidity, and flavor notes. It calculates a personalized **% Taste Match** based on your rating history!

2. 👅 **Taste Profile**: The app learns your palate (e.g., if you prefer chocolatey low-acidity coffees or bright, fruity pour-overs) and refines your profile over time.

3. 🗺️ **Coffee Meetups**: A built-in social feature to host or join local coffee meetups (chill sessions, study/work, deep talks).

4. 🌍 **Origins & Brewing Guides**: Explore bean profiles from countries around the world and step-by-step guides for V60, Espresso, Cold Brew, etc.

The core features, scanning, taste learning, and searching are **100% free with no ads**. I kept the design modern and clean (built native in Kotlin).
