Platner will win the primary - and then withdraw before July 13th
Platner has a head of steam in Maine for the senate - even in light of all the scandals surrounding him.
There is a law in Maine that allows the party to replace a withdrawn candidate - https://legislature.maine.gov/statutes/21-A/title21-Asec374-A.html
When Platner wins next week, he’ll have a little over a month to withdraw to have this law go into effect.
The DNC will then be allowed to place their desired candidate into the race - without another primary.
They will make sure you vote for who they want, not who you want.
