[usa] Texas Requirements and eligibility

Researching Texas LPA requirements and have a situation I’m hoping someone has navigated before.

Current academic standing includes an MS in Developmental Psychology (48 hrs, 2023), an MS in Psychology (48 hrs, May 2026, embedded within doctoral program), and 57 completed doctoral hours in Clinical Psychology with practicum scheduled for next fall.

Per BHEC, the requirement is a graduate degree in psychology consisting of at least 60 semester credit hours, with no more than 12 hours of practicum counted toward the total. Also found that if a master’s program is under 60 hours, additional graduate coursework may count toward the requirement.

Three specific questions for anyone who has been through this. First, did BHEC accept completed doctoral hours toward the 60 hour requirement? Second, did doctoral practicum satisfy the supervised experience requirement? Third, has anyone applied with an embedded master’s while their PhD was still in progress?
