How to take selfies/mirror pictures!!!

I was not really invested to online dating (Instagram, Tinder and alikes) cus i was focused on getting into a university. Now that i got into one, i have more time and disposure (also a new social envoriment), and wanted to have a more presentable profile. But i don't really take lots of pics of myself.

So... I tried taking some selfies, but they look boring and not really interesting. Came here looking to see if someone knows any cool techniques and tips to take cooler and more interesting selfies!!

Also, were i live is really hot, so don't have much space to play with clothes, and i would like to avoid filters. Also i really love perspective play, think it looks really cool, but everytime i try to do, it looks terrible!!

P.s: English is not my first language so i have some trouble writing in it, sorry for any difficulties (can read better than write btw) and if u dont mind, explain a step by step like im a todler, like: put your cellphone blablabla and your foot there so it looks like you're.... You see the vision!
