Ruling Factions

I have a lore question. Is there a comprehensive list available anywhere that clearly shows who ruled what planet in the game’s era, primarily pre-main story, but also after the resurgence of the Sith Empire?

For context, I really really love creating complex backstories for my characters, and playing through all of the game’s content completely respecting the stories I write for my characters. Technically speaking, this planet question would only help me with minor details of their stories, but it would also be fun to look at to get a perspective of the galaxy.

Also just to be clear, I’m not asking about the in game planets you can go to, I’m asking about the entire galaxy, how much do we know for sure and is there any where I can ‘see’ the divided galaxy? I’ve learned a bit through searching about individual planets, but that’s a bit of a hassle.
