Sad about my journey
Hey, I am still super sad about my breastfeeding journey. I am four months postpartum and I feel like it's been doomed since the beginning. First of all, my son was born at 37 weeks with IUGR and fairly severe jaundice, so he was under the treatment lights for three days. When I told the nurses that I feel like he isn't transferring milk, they didn't believe me, so they supplemented formula and only tried to get me to pump after three or four days. After that, he would always take a bottle of formula but would never quite take to the breast, and now after four months, my supply has tanked, my period is coming back and he has a fairly strong aversion to the breast at feeding times but would recently start nursing for comfort. What can I do? I tried la leche league, paced feeding, SNS, breast compressions, power pumping (my husband works, i cant pump very often), lactaction cookies...
Anyone that can offer any hope? I just wanna combo feed, i know EBF is impossible now.
