Recommendations for Planet Design?

For my Early Great Crusade campaign I'm lokking for a nice way to create planets to be discovered by the players ship. Any recommendations?

I just tried some online tools (not really convincing so far) and then got myself Planet Architect Lite by Devote Games. And I must say. It's quite nice.

What are you working with in a planetary scale?
