I cross-referenced my whole supplement stack against the NIH database. Turns out I was paying for the same mineral 3 times.

Spent way too long last weekend actually checking what's in my

stack instead of just trusting the labels. Pulled every product

and listed the actual active ingredients and doses.

Three things surprised me:

  1. I had magnesium in three different products — my multi, a

"sleep" blend, and a standalone glycinate. Same mineral,

    three times, ~$70/month combined.

  2. I was taking calcium and iron in the same morning dose.

Turns out calcium competes with iron at the DMT1 transporter

in the gut — it can block a big chunk of the iron absorption.

Easy fix: just space them a couple hours apart.

  3. One product pushed me over the NIH tolerable upper limit on

zinc when stacked with my multi.

None of this is on any single label — because no product warns

you about what you're taking alongside it. You only see it when

you lay everything out against one reference.

Anyone else audited their stack like this? Curious what

redundancies other people found — feels like everyone has at

least one.
