Help with evolutions in Fire Red

I’m in the middle of playing the rerelease of Fire Red on the Switch and I don’t have anyone to do my evolutions with. The closest friend I have that also plays lives 3 hours away. Has anyone been to a local GameStop or somewhere else and had any luck finding someone to do this with? Let me know if you have. I was never able to complete the Pokédex the first time this game came out for the same reason.
