Are my bfs dog well behaved?

DOG

I’m asking because I’ve never owned a dog so I don’t know what a behaved or misbehaved dog presents like.

He has 2 medium size dogs and as someone who has never owned a dog and is a germaphobe, I don’t know if I’m perceiving this wrong?

Now don’t get me wrong he’s dogs are cute, I can appreciate a cute dog but I appreciate from a far and very rarely pat a dog and initially I thought this was okay, it’s just my preference and I’m not snobby about it. My boyfriend’s dogs have a lot of energy, one in particular has A LOT! Which is fine but now I’m starting to become annoyed.

8/10 times if I get close to them they will jump on me and I’m a small woman so the dogs heads are up to my chest and sometimes they have scratched me or pushed me over a little bit due to me getting caught off guard.

Again, if I get close to the dog to pat them (yes I will pat these two dogs to show effort) I get slobber on me. Now I really don’t mean to come across as snobby but this really bugs me and I know the dogs can’t help it and there’s no malicious intent but I’m starting to think maybe I shouldn’t have an issue with it? I’ll explain that later on.

When I’m eating the dogs are right up my ass, one time I was eating a burger on a low table and one of the dogs was in my face, I could not enjoy my meal due to obvious reasons.

I refuse to sit on the couch because the dogs will walk all over me and yes they even walk on top of the couch so if their not walking on my legs, they are where my head is. Again, I’m a small woman so this actually hurts and is just overall uncomfortable.

They’re also loud which just annoys me because I am sensitive and loud nosies just startle me.

Every conversation you have in that house reverts back to the dogs and how cute they are. It is so hard to hold down a conversation without stopping every 5-10 minutes because someone has to mention how cute the dogs are. Yes the dogs are cute but we have discussed how cute the dogs are 50 times in the last two hours!

Now the reason why I’m questioning if I’m in the wrong is because he’s sister is a bit.. much. She’s the “dog mamma” and treats her dogs like her children which is totally fine but I think she cannot expect everyone to love her dogs the way she does. She was complaining to me about how one of her friends has “ocd” and won’t come inside the house because of the dogs, I thought to myself is she telling me this because I don’t get close to the dogs, was there a motive behind this conversation? When the dogs jump, slobber or are right in my face when I eat, 3/10 times she’ll step in and say something, otherwise she just lets them. My boyfriend and his parents are overall good as putting boundaries in as they can see I’m uncomfortable but his sister is a different story.

Another example, his sister was telling me a story about how she took the dogs with her to an outside basketball game and the dogs were running around and people were getting annoyed, she said to me “the dogs were annoying everyone I could tell, but i didn’t care I just laughed”. To me this is so disrespectful.

These are obviously what I find annoying but would you say these traits are normal or are they misbehaved?
