Heard this guy or gal this morning 7am, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada (but did not see), help to identify please?
I heard this call this morning at about 7am in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. It was coming from the maple tree outside my window. I looked but couldn't find him or her, but did see a small bird fly quickly from the tree just after it stopped. I didn't get a good look but it didn't appear to have a bright noticable colour (saw in flight for about 0.5sec and appeared dull brown or grey but i could be wrong?) and it was smaller than a common starling (8in) but bigger than a Chickadee.
I tried looking it up on eBird/Merlin based on the suggestions in BirdNet but I couldn't find any calls that sounded like this.
I'm a novice in the birding scene, I became interested in it just a few years ago and so far have only learned about my regular backyard birds, but I heard this while sleeping and it woke me up because I needed to know what it is!
(I've never uploaded a file or posted a video before so please let me know if I didn't do it correctly, I did read the rules but don't know of any other method of sharing this video so I created a link from Google Photos. I only have my Pixel phone to use. I'm more than happy to learn a different way if someone wants to explain it to me as if I were five π)
Any suggestions are welcome π
