[In Progress] [4750] [Speculative Horror] And You Were There

I'm looking for some early eyes on the first few chapters of my novel, And You Were There.

Premise:

When all the citizens of a small Kansas town begin sharing the same recurring nightmare, they must decide whether to unite in search of its meaning or fracture under fear as the line between the dream and reality begins to dissolve.

Told through the rotating viewpoints of various characters, including You, the reader, who is part of the story.

Questions I'm trying to answer:

Does the beginning of this story hold your interest?

Do you care about any of the characters already?

What would you guess is coming?
