How to start with a new home?

I’m curious to know from those who moved into a new home and were basically starting from scratch with furniture etc, where did you start? Did you start with the wall color? A theme? A vibe? A piece of art? Wall color or furniture first? I have some ideas but I’m doubting myself so curious about others’ processes…
