Waterfall(s) after El Hippie?

Looking for some input from you fine folks.

Staying in Luquillo in a couple of weeks and trying to nail down a few things. We love waterfalls and have visited and explored many here in NC. We're not interested in a guided tour.

El Hippie is definitely a must do for us, ~45 minutes from our AirBnb. In my research I didn't quite realize El Hippie was further south on the other side from where you enter El Yunque to see the other waterfalls etc.

Since we plan to arrive at El Hippie early and spend as much time as possible, are there other great swimming holes closer to that area that we can visit? I'm assuming that after El Hippie by the time we drove back to the entrance area of El Yunque there would be crowds and hard to find parking.

Can someone recommend something fun for the El Hippie area?

For another morning for the visitor center side we are looking at exploring La Mina, Juan Diego and possibly Torre Britton since they are all in somewhat the same area.

Drive up 191 and stop at Juan Diego first, then proceed on up the road to La Mina Recreation Area for the La Mina waterfall, and check out Torre Yokahú on the way up or down.

Does that sound like a decent plan?

Also looks like there are some cool little places to stop, shop and grab a bite on 191. La Muralla & El Yunque Rainforest Cafe.

Driving a Toyota Corolla if that matters.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

2 adults and 2 teens.
