Hey founders and builders,

Co-founder here. We just launched the early-access build of our platform, and I wanted to share what we're working on and get some strategic advice from this community.

# What is it?

**Novium** is a "Serendipity Engine" designed for complex literature reviews and document analysis. It completely moves away from the classic chat-with-pdf format and instead maps out your data structurally.

# Who is it for & Why should you care?

It’s built for researchers, technical founders, and anyone parsing mountains of dense medical, scientific, or academic PDFs. Standard AI search (RAG) suffers from extreme context myopia; it can retrieve direct facts but fails completely at multi-hop reasoning (connecting a premise in Paper A to a conclusion in Paper C through a hidden link in Paper B). Novium physically maps out those connections so you never miss a hidden link in your literature.

# How does it stand out?

1. **The Data Layer:** We parse document text, tables, and formulas using Docling, and index everything structurally into a hybrid Neo4j graph store and LanceDB vector store.
2. **The 4-Agent Adversarial Loop:** Instead of standard single-pass LLM responses, we route queries through a four-agent sequence (Advocate, Skeptic, Synthesizer, and External Grounder) to debate hypotheses, verify them against the live web, and actively eliminate LLM sycophancy.
3. **The 3D Canvas:** Your workspace is an interactive, spatial 3D WebGL knowledge graph (Next.js + Three.js) that allows you to visually fly through concepts and trace paths between isolated research papers.

# Where we are stuck / Question for the community:

The platform is completely bootstrapped and entirely free to use right now while we collect early product validation.

Our main hurdle right now is **onboarding friction**. Because a 3D spatial canvas is radically different from a standard, flat SaaS dashboard, we are finding that users take a little longer to hit that "Aha!" moment compared to a simple chat box.

For founders who have launched products with unconventional, highly visual user interfaces: **How did you structure your initial onboarding or tutorials to bridge the gap without overwhelming first-time visitors with a steep learning curve?**
