I went from an S25 Plus to Pixel 10A and I love it

I know this will be controversial but, yes, I did it!

I've always been a tech guy buying the highest end phones whenever possible. I was with the iPhone my whole life up until the XR and then took the leap over to Android cause I'm a tech nerd at heart.

I like having the most powerful machine and I also like being able to tell people why Android is superior. It's like I felt the need to buy top of the line in order to feel good about my purchase.

But then I found myself recently looking to simplify a lot of clutter and things in my life (things I don't use) and I thought for the first time: "why do I have such an expensive phone when I don't use half the features anyways? I use it for basic today to day YouTube videos, sending the occasional text and phone call out, and maybe some chess or card games on my phone. Sure it was nice while it lasted to take a super close photo of the moon but do I need that? The answer at least for me, is no.
