How do i be genuinely happy with extremely toxic and controlling parents?
Those with extremely controlling parents, how to be happy with life after they ruined your entire childhood?
For context I never got to choose a single thing in my childhood. Not even the bag that i carry, the clothes i wear, the food i eat, the cca i join. I wasn’t allowed to hang out with friends even once and wasn’t allowed to join any school activities or cca. Only time i had a cca was in secondary because it was compulsory and my mum choose my cca for me. I wanted to choose on my own but i never got the chance. I wish i was joking when i said all these.
My life only started when i start working full time. I finally got to go anywhere i want, join any activities i want and buy anything i want
Then she forced me to work right after poly and i apply to uni after a few years then got pressured to resign and now i am staying home everyday taking a part time degree and feel extremely lonely and no life. It’s like back to childhood.
What should i do now to be genuinely happy?
Moving out isn’t an option now btw
